Welcome to the Ecunet online community
Here are some steps to take to get started on the new Ecunet platform:
Ecunet is all about Groups. Go to the groups page to browse and join groups. Some groups are limited to members of the Ecunet domain, and to create a group in the Ecunet domain, you must have an @ecunet.org account. It's free, and accounts for many current members have already been imported. Some groups do not require an @ecunet.org address to participate, and some members with @ecunet.org accounts join groups with their "day-to-day" e-mail address, just for the convenience of sending and receiving notes via that e-mail account. You can also participate fully in Ecunet groups using a Web browser.
Try logging in with your existing Ecunet inbox name and password. Replace any spaces in your current Ecunet inbox name with underscores (e.g. jane_smith). Having trouble logging in?
If you still aren't able to log in, sign up for an Ecunet account by filling out this form. You will be notified when your inbox name and password have been set up.
Once you are logged in, the easiest way to navigate the features of the Ecunet.org Google Apps domain is through the menu items in the Web e-mail interface (e.g. calendar, documents, sites, etc.). Groups and contacts are under the "more" prompt. You may also use the list of shortcuts below.
Here are shortcut links to Ecunet services:
Search and join groups. To create a group you need an @ecunet.org address. You may participate in most groups using a non-Ecunet address. All of the services listed below do require an @ecunet.org account.
If you have an @ecunet.org e-mail address you can create and manage groups in this domain and use the other services described below. This is actually a Gmail account, with its powerful search, SPAM filtering and chat in the browser
Search a directory of people with Ecunet.org accounts. Be careful though, some people only use their Ecunet account to create new groups and have a different primary e-mail address.
Publish and collaborate in real-time on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Quickly create and publish collaborative sites
Organize schedules and share events and calendars with others
Upload, view and share videos
Upload and share photos with your group or the world with Picasa Web Albums
Call or send instant messages to contacts for free - anytime, anywhere in the world by downloading Google Talk, or by opening the Google Talk Gadget
